Jewlya develops practical tools and processes that help leaders unpack complexity, ask powerful questions, and find answers on issues from climate change and nuclear security to building healthy communities and ecosystems. She has translated complexity and systems thinking into practice for numerous major US and international initiatives and is founder of Spark Policy Institute, which helps communities and policymakers intervene on complex societal problems. Jewlya holds a PhD in public affairs from the University of Colorado and started her career at the Colorado and Nebraska legislatures.
