N Square’s DC Hub brings nuclear risk professionals together for opportunities to collaborate, build community, and connect with innovators and experts from other disciplines. From brown bags and professional development programs to “design sprints” and scenario planning teams, all of our offerings focus on fostering esprit de corps while bringing nontraditional approaches and voices to the space.

Our programs are field-driven, meaning that the ideas come from you. Currently, we are hosting a series of conversations about many of the field-wide issues—from addressing generational, cultural, and gender tensions in the workplace to encouraging greater risk-taking and creativity—surfaced in our Greater Than report.

Our partner is designing and delivering Hub programs is PopTech, one of the world’s leading conveners of global thinkers and leaders. Many of our programs draw on the N Square Innovators Network—a diverse community of data scientists, artists, media and finance professionals, and more. You might hear from industrial designers about how strategic foresight is being practiced in government agencies or work with experts in systems thinking as we consider how to reshape the behaviors and mental models that drive the field.

The DC Hub is now virtual!
While the DC Hub was conceived as a physical gathering space, all events will be remote through at least Spring 2021, offering members a chance to become proficient in leading-edge online collaboration and networking tools such as Miro and Hopin. We will also offer training in augmented reality tools such as Spatial and Second Life for those interested in exploring how A/R and virtual reality can be used to advance their work.
